A Framework for Resilience

The Maxable Resilience Framework (M-RF) is a practical, prevention-focused umbrella framework that helps people to build everyday resilience before pressure turns into crisis.

Life brings challenges to everyone — stress, change, loss, uncertainty, responsibility, conflict, and unexpected pressure. The question is not whether life will test us. The question is whether we have the skills, support, and confidence to respond when it does.

M-RF helps people take the next step from mental health awareness to practical action.

What is M-RF?

M-RF is a simple, structured resilience framework built on four pillars: Regulate, Reflect, Reframe, and Reconnect — the ‘Four R’s of Resilience’.

It gives people a clear pathway for recognising pressure earlier, responding more effectively, and reconnecting with support.

M-RF is not therapy and does not replace professional mental health support — it is a non-clinical, education-focused framework designed to make resilience practical, accessible, and usable in everyday life.

Why M-RF?

Fostering mental wellness before crisis point

Many people now understand that mental health matters. M-RF builds on that awareness by offering a practical next step — helping people to understand how resilience can be built before life becomes overwhelming.

The aim is to help people feel more prepared, more supported, and less alone when life becomes difficult, because mental wellness should not begin at crisis point.

Authored with expertise, shaped by insight

M-RF has been authored by Maxable Global CIC and developed leveraging a combination of professional expertise, lived experience, community insight, and established resilience research.

It is informed by established research in resilience, wellbeing, emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, social connection, and prevention — this includes ideas linked to ordinary resilience, resilience trajectories, positive emotion and resource-building, and cognitive-behavioural resilience skills, brought together in a practical sequence that people can understand and use.

M-RF is also shaped by pulse surveys, participant feedback, listening exercises, and community insight — these allow us to understand what pressures people are facing, what support they feel they need earlier, what barriers stop people from seeking help, and how resilience support can be made more relevant and accessible.

Bring M-RF to Your Organisation

Adopting M-RF gives organisations a practical way to move from mental health awareness to early action.

It can help your organisation to support wellbeing before burnout, build prevention-focused wellbeing into everyday culture, and introduce a shared language around resilience.

MR-F’s simplicity and adaptability also makes it easy to pilot — our framework turns resilience into a simple sequence that can be adapted to different audiences and introduced through workshops, talks, or tailored sessions.
