On 30 June 2026, the Maxable Global Excellence Awards brought together activists and dignitaries in a celebration of leadership, service, and commitment.

Hosted by Bob Blackman CBE MP in Westminster, London, the ceremony began with introductions from Angelos Tsangarides, Youth Mental Health Ambassador at Maxable, and Yaseen Kuthubdeen, our Men’s Mental Health Ambassador. Opening remarks were followed by an address by Mr Blackman, and words from Kimi Bhachu, our Children’s Ambassador.

Following the introductory addresses, Neelam Chawla, Founder and Director of Maxable Global, thanked guests and awardees in a powerful speech highlighting the importance of Maxable’s mission to advance mental wellbeing, calling upon those present to carry the conversation around mental health into the room they step into next.

Neelam Chawla gave a powerful speech to attendees.

Throughout the evening, awardees were honoured for contributions across various areas of life, in addition to the Maxable Global Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award for Public Service, Equality, and Institutional Leadership being presented to The Rt Hon. the Baroness Prashar.

Mangal Singh, the renowned playback singer, was also made a lifetime honouree, being presented with the Lifetime Contribution to Music, Culture and Community award.

Additionally, supporters and volunteers who have devoted time and resources to our global mission were presented with medals and certificates of appreciation, recognising their efforts and contribution.

The evening also saw the formal launch of the Maxable Resilience Framework (M-RF), our prevention-focused framework for supporting people in building everyday mental resilience.

Overall, the 2026 Global Excellence Awards were an outstanding success, bringing together activists, politicians, and dignitaries — including our guests of honour, distinguished civil servant Tony Hyland MBE, and Virendra Sharma, retired Member of Parliament for Ealing Southall of seventeen years — in recognition of those who have exemplified our philosophy and values across various areas of life. Also present at the event was Lord Rami Ranger FRSA, who was previously presented with our Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025.
