Fundraising To Publish ‘From Our Side’ – A Book of Children’s Voices

What do children wish adults understood about them?
That question shaped From Our Side: What We Want You to Know, a new book created through Maxable Young Voices. Sixteen children and young people aged 7–17 have shared their thoughts, experiences and perspectives on growing up, being understood and having their voices heard.
This isn’t a book telling children what they should do. It’s an invitation for parents, teachers and other adults to listen differently. On 2 November 2026, we’ll present the book at a child-led event at the House of Commons, but we want the children’s words to reach beyond that one day.
We’re raising £1,500 for the artwork, design, formatting, publication preparation and an initial print run of 10 copies. This first edition will give the project a professional foundation for future printing and wider reach.
