Bob Blackman MP Celebrates Our Mission Following 2026 Global Excellence Awards

Bob Blackman MP hosted the 2026 Maxable Global Excellence Awards.

Following the success of our 2026 Global Excellence Awards in June, Maxable Global is thankful for words written on social media by Bob Blackman MP, recognising our work and mission.

Writing on Facebook, the Member of Parliament for Harrow East emphasised the importance of our focus on prevention with respect to mental health.

“Maxable Global works to a simple principle, and it is one I strongly agree with: mental wellness before crisis.”

– Bob Blackman MP

Reflecting on our core principle of fostering mental wellness before crisis, Mr Blackman commented that ‘For too long, our approach to mental health has been to wait until someone reaches breaking point and only then to step in’, which he stated is ‘not good enough’, and that the ‘real work lies in prevention, in early support, and in building the resilience that helps people cope with life’s difficulties long before they become overwhelming’.

In the same post, Mr Blackman, who hosted the 2026 Global Excellence Awards, congratulated awardees and thanked Neelam Chawla, Director of Maxable Global, and the rest of our team, for our year-round work.

Replying to Mr Blackman on behalf of the entire team at Maxable, Ms Chawla thanked him for his crucial support in raising awareness about the importance of prioritising prevention in the mental health space.

Bob Blackman MP's Facebook post following the 2026 Maxable Global Excellence Awards.

It reads: 'It was a real pleasure last month to host and sponsor the Maxable Global Excellence Awards in Parliament, celebrating the people and organisations who are doing so much to improve mental health and wellbeing in our communities.
Maxable Global works to a simple principle, and it is one I strongly agree with: mental wellness before crisis. For too long, our approach to mental health has been to wait until someone reaches breaking point and only then to step in. That is not good enough. The real work lies in prevention, in early support, and in building the resilience that helps people cope with life's difficulties long before they become overwhelming. Get that right and we spare a great deal of suffering, and a great deal of pressure on our health service too.
The awards recognised individuals and organisations from right across our national life, from public service and healthcare to education, business, culture, faith and community leadership. Their fields could hardly be more different, yet they share the same purpose, which is to build stronger, healthier and better connected communities. It was a privilege to present the awards and to hear something of what each recipient has achieved.
I was particularly pleased that the evening also recognised the volunteers who give their time. They are the backbone of this work, and they deserve every word of thanks they receive.
My congratulations to every award winner, and my thanks to Neelam Chawla and the whole team at Maxable Global for organising such an uplifting evening, and for the important work they do all year round.'
